QWED MCP that lets Claude and other MCP clients verify their answers by running real solvers.
1.5K
An MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients check their own answers with real solvers instead of trusting what the model wrote. Part of QWED, open-source verification infrastructure for LLMs and AI agents.

| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
execute_python_code | Runs a Python script the model writes, in a subprocess with a restricted environment. The model uses it to verify a result with the solvers installed in the image. |
verification_status | Returns the status and result of a long-running verification job. |
Earlier versions exposed one tool per check (verify_math, verify_sql, and so on). Since v0.2.1 a single execute_python_code tool replaces them, so the model loads one tool schema instead of many. If a client reports an unknown verify_* tool, ask it to use execute_python_code instead.
Installed in the image: SymPy, Z3, qwed-finance and qwed-ucp, plus the qwed-mcp math, logic, SQL and code engines.
Add this to claude_desktop_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"qwed": {
"command": "docker",
"args": ["run", "-i", "--rm", "qwedai/qwed-mcp:latest"]
}
}
}
Restart Claude Desktop, then ask, for example:
What is the derivative of x³ · sin(x)? Write a short Python script with SymPy to check your answer and run it with execute_python_code.
The server talks MCP over stdio, so any MCP client that can start a command works the same way.
execute_python_code runs code that the model writes. The container runs as a non-root user, and that isolation is part of why the Docker image is the recommended way to run it. Treat it like any tool that executes code: use it with clients and prompts you trust.
